Green-growing concrete creatively combines concrete bearing properties with plant growth characteristics, deriving from the ecological and energy-saving effect of new concrete, reflecting a green architectural ideal.In this thesis, the concept of green-growing concrete was explained in detail. It reviewed developments at home and abroad, puting forward research ideas and a few test methods, carrying out a lot of experiments and researches on raw material selection, preparation techniques, the physical and mechanical properties and the adaptability of plant growth for common green-growing concrete, ceramsitc green-growing concrete and cinder green-growing concrete, applying to engineering.(1) It produced strength of15.4MPa,25.2%of the porosity for common green-growing concrete in experiment research, corresponding to water binder ratio of0.26.Important conclusions were drawn that common green-growing concrete filling rate is large(21%and23%of the porosity), concrete strength depends mainly on the strength of the cementitious binder; water-binder ratio increases, the strength to reduce clearly, when filling rate is small(25%of the porosity), concrete strength mainly depends on the aggregate of its own strength, water-binder ratio affect less.Moreover, it obtained clear correlation analysis to compressive and flexural strength with porosity and aggregate binder ratio, measured porosity and target porosity(2) The research produced ceramsite green-growing concrete for green roof, analysing its physical and mechanical properties and influence factors. When the water binder ratio less than0.29, the compressive strength increases along with water binder ratio increases, which is different from common green-growing concrete; When the water binder ratio greater than0.29, water binder ratio intensity increases along with water binder ratio increases, the same as common concrete regularity. The suitable water binder ratio is0.29.(3) The research produced scoria green-growing concrete by high water absorption and high strength, the suitable aggregate binder ratio and expanded perlite addition is2.5:1and10l2l8d compressive strength reached10.2MPa and water absorption was4.52%. (4) The research produced the plant substrate which can meet the construction requirements and adapt to plant growth. Plant roots grew in the pores, the31days can pass through concrete layer10cm and grow into underlying soil, achieving experimental requirements.The research gained a large number of experimental data and obtained some achievements, it will have important reference and application value for the future research, providing theoretical guidance for green growing concrete practice.
