Electrolytic cleaning technology is one kind of common cleaning technology in industrial production. It also has was called electrochemical cleaning based on principle of water electrolysis clear filth on surface of cold-rolled steel strip. There are many influencing factors affect electrolytic cleaning effect in industral production, the parameters of electrolytic cleaning are chosen mainly by experiment and experience. There are mainly four influencing factors on electroly cleaning:alkali concentration of electrolyte, electrolyte temperature, current density and cleaning time. Current density is the most important condition to ensure fast and high efficient electrolytic cleaning. In certain range,the increase of current density, the faster the speed of removing oil. But high current density will cause high energy consumption.Considering the production cost and environmental protection, it is important to ensure a high current density with relatively low energy consumption. So current efficiency of the electrolytic cleaning should be improved.At present, study on current efficiency in electrolyzer is mainly about electrolytic aluminum and electroplating while relatively less about electrolytic cleaning. Some scholars studied current efficiency by experiment, because there are too many parameters and complicated technology, the research situation is still remaining at the qualitative stage. The use of simulation calculation method can solve this problem.In this paper, the anthor based on the actual process of the electrolytic cleaning, using the finite element software Ansoft build a electrolytic cleaning model about three-dimension and the initial conditions and boundary conditions were determined according to theory of electrochemical and electromagnetic, the application of finite element calculation method in this topic and current efficiency calculation method was introduced. Effect of the parameters on current efficiency are studied. Finally, the veliability of simulation calculation is verified through comparing simulation result with experimental result and the best three-dismensional model was confirmed.
