Due to polyamide 6(PA6) has lots of excellent characteristics,such as the high mechanical strength, thermal resistance, wear resistance, oiliness resistance and so on. It has been widely used in many fields of national economy. But because of large water absorption and lower impact strength at low temperature and dry circumstance, so PA6 had been limited used in some fields.In order to improve impact toughness and wear resistant of polyamide 6 to satisfy high toughness and high wear resistance of textile accessories and automobile parts, we prepared PA6/TPU1, PA6/TPU2, PA6/EAA, PA6/EAA/TPU1 and PA6/EAA/TPU2 blends by melting blending, using two kinds of thermoplastic polyurethane(TPU1 and TPU2) and Ethylene Acrylic Acid copolymer(EAA) as toughing and wear resistance agent. It was investigated that the effect of the content of toughing and wear resistance agent on the mechanical properties; focuses on discussing the effect of the content of TPU on friction and wear properties of PA6/EAA/TPU1 and PA6/EAA/TPU2 blends; Toughening Mechanism and Wear Mechanism of PA6/EAA/TPU1 were studied; dynamic mechanical properties, melt and crystalline behavior, and morphologies and structure of blends were mainly researched. The main results are as follows.(1) Through the test of mechanics properties, TPU1, TPU2 and EAA all can improve the impact toughness of PA6, The optimum content of TPU1 and TPU2 is 5 %, The optimum content of EAA is 15 phr; the best comprehensive mechanical properties of PA6/EAA/TPU1 blends were achieved with PA6/EAA/TPU1=95/15/5, the notched Izod impact toughing is 95.7kJ/m~2, the tensile strength is 81MPa, the flexural strength is 47MPa. It explained that the PA6/EAA/TPU1 blends has the good mechanical properties.(2) Through the test of friction and wear properties, Co-use of EAA, TPU1 and co-use of EAA, TPU2 all can improve wear resistant of PA6; the wear mass loss of blends was ranked in a increasing order as follows: PA6/EAA/TPU1< PA6/EAA/TPU2<PA6; the friction coefficient and wear scar width of PA6/EAA/TPU1 blends are smaller than that of PA6. the best friction and wear properties of PA6/EAA/TPU1 blends were achieved with PA6/EAA/TPU1=90/15/10. the wear mass loss of blends are 0.2~1.7mg, the friction coefficient of blends are 0.26~0.34, the wear scar width of blends are 2.1~3.4mm, this shows that the PA6/EAA/TPU1 blends has the good friction and wear properties.(3) According to scanning electron microscopy (SEM), the phase structure of PA6/TPU1(95/5), PA6/EAA(100/15) and PA6/EAA/TPU1(95/15/5) is the " sea-island structure".(4) Toughening Mechanism and Wear Mechanism of PA6/EAA/TPU1 blends respectively is Multiple Crazing Mechanism and Abrasive Wear mechanism, Adhesive wear mechanism.(5) DMA and SEM show that, PA6 and TPU1 have a good Compatibility, The compatibility of PA6/TPU was improved by EAA.(6) The melt and crystalline behavior showed that Crystallization Rate of PA6/TPU1、PA6/EAA and PA6/EAA/TPU1 is faster than that of PA6; Non-Isothermal Crystallization process of PA6 and blends exist the secondary crystallization phenomena. Compared with PA6, melting point of PA6/TPU1、PA6/EAA and PA6/EAA/TPU1 blends decrease slightly, the degree of crystallinity of PA6/EAA has little change, but the degree of crystallinity of PA6/TPU1 and PA6/EAA/TPU1 blends remarkably decrease.(7) TG show that the thermal decomposition temperature of PA6/EAA/TPU1 blends are 445~459℃, it indicate that PA6/EAA/TPU1 blends has a better thermal stability.
