Leachates were obtained for aged domestic waste of two different landfill ages with the laboratory leaching device, Dissolvoed organic matter (DOM) components in the leachates were separeted using ultrafiltration, high-performance size-exclusion chromatography (HPSEC) and resin separation techniques.Three dimenional excitation-emission matrix(3DEEM) fluorescence of all these components in DOM were analyzed using fluorescence region integration method. With the simulation experiment for groundwater pollution by landfill leachates,3DEEM fluorescence spectra of the groundwater samples which were polluted to different extent were analyzed, in order to screen the characteristic pollution marks and provide the probability of groundwater pollution monitoring The results shows as follow:1. DOM is the primary pollutants in the leachates, and heavy metal concentraiton is relative low. The COD intends to distribute in the particulate matters (particle size0.45-1.2μm); The total nitrogen intends to distribute in the particulate matters (particle size0.22-0.45μm and more than1.2μm); The ammonia nitrogen、total phosphorus and total nitrogen tend to distribute in solution obviously.2. The average molecular weight of DOM in leachateincreasedwith the increase of the landfill age,. Due to the growing of landfill age, the degree of humification also increasedin the leachate, the protein-like materialwith small molecular weight will change into humus-like material with big molecular weight. For the leachate from domestic waste landfilled in2008,,, the molecular weight of most components in DOM is less than1KDa; For the leachate from domestic waste landfilled in2004, the component proportion(which molecular weight is more than3KDa in the leachate is about33%, and the component proportion which molecular weight is between1KDa and3KDa is about15%, the molecular weight of the rest component is less than1KDa. The molecular weight of all the components which wereseparatedby macroporous resin, is less than200.3. The EEMs of different ultrafiltration fractions were characterized by two typical fluorescence chromophores loacted at Ex/Em=340nm/420nm nearby, all the fractions was dominated by protein-like substrance, secondly by kind of fulvic acid, and protein-like substrance reduced with the increasing of component molecular weight; The EEMs of HOA、 HOB、HIM of different resin separation fractions were characterized by two typical fluorescence chromophores loacted at Ex/Em=320nm/404nm and Ex/Em=240nm/412nm nearby, dominated by kind of fulvic acid; and the EEMs of HON were characterized by two typical fluorescence chromophores located at Ex/Em=320nm/406nm and Ex/Em=240nm/350nm nearby, domiated by tryptophan.-like.4. The EEM of leachate is characterized by a typical fluorescence chromophore loacted at Ex/Em=280nm/342nm and Ex/Em=340nm/420nm nearby, dominated by kind of fulvic acid of visible range; and the EEMs of groundwater were characterized by two typical fluorescence chromophores loacted at Ex/Em=280nm/342nm and Ex/Em=240nm/446nm nearby, dominated by kind of protein-like substrance and fulvic acid of ultraviolet range.5. With the increase in the proportion of leachate, the fluorescence intensity of fulvic acid in visible range (Ex/Em=310nm/408nm nearby) increase, and the fluorescence intensity of protein-like substrance decrease. The groundwater pollution of leachate can be detected by analyzing the change of fluorescence intensity in fulvic acid of visible range、fluorescence intensity ratio of Ex/Em=340nm/420nm and Ex/Em=280nm/342nm or the FRI of Ⅲ region and Ⅵ region.
