On-line continuous measurement and feeding technology of gunpowder components is the key of continuation and automation of the gunpowder manufacture process, process design and the veracity of measurement affect directly the quality and various performance of product. In order to realize the continuation and automation of gunpowder manufacture as soon as possible, this dissertation did research through three aspects separately which are Nitrocellulose and absorbent drug measurement, Hexogen and catalyst measurement, gunpowder pulp dehydration process, in addition, a modified double base propellant’s real-material test run was conducted.1、The concentration, flow and pure weight of Nitrocellulose and absorbent drug were measured on-line and continuously by microwave concentration meter, electromagnetic flow meter and PLC system. The results showed that measurement processes were steady, concentration and flow’s errors were less than1.2%, and pure weight’s errors were less than1.5%.2、The weights of Hexogen and catalyst were measured on-line and continuously by anti-electrostatic electronic belt scale equipment which was developed independently. The results showed that measurement processes were steady, materials’transport were continuous, well-distributed and safe, it didn’t appeared the phenomenon of "rat role" or "bridging" in the feeding process, and measurement errors were less than1.0%.3、Gunpowder replaced materials were dehydrated continuously by horizontal screw dehydrator which was developed independently. The results showed that dehydration processes were steady and fluent, and that when the dehydrator’s rotational speed was2800/1600rpm, pulp’s concentration was about10%and flow was100-110L/min, dehydrated materials’ moisture content was lowest, waste water was clear and the solid content was least, dewatering effect was best.4、The thesis designed the new process routing of gunpowder continuous measurement and feeding, continuous absorption and continuous dehydration. A modified double base propellant’s real-material test run was conducted successfully via this new process routing.These results indicated adequately that the test properties of microwave concentration meter, electromagnetic flow meter, PLC system and anti-electrostatic electronic belt scale equipment are stable, and the accuracies are higher relatively, gunpowder components are suitable to be measured on-line by them. Moreover, horizontal screw dehydrator’s best process condition is confirmed when it is applied on the dehydration of gunpowder pulp. It lays the foundation for the continuation and automation manufacture technology of gunpowder especially the high solid content nitramine gunpowder.
