In this article, we designed and synthesized a series of relational ligands whichinclude three chiral dicarboxylic acid ligands: R-(+)-2-(4-(carboxymethoxy) phenoxy)propanoic acid, R-(+)-4-(4-(1-carboxyl)phenoxy)-3-fluoro-benzoic acid andR-(+)-4-(4-(1-carboxyl)phenoxy)-3-fluoro-benzoic acid. We synthesized sevencoordination compounds with transition mentals and four compounds constructed byhydrogen bonds:[Cu(L1)(bipy)(H2O)]n(1), Cu2(L1)2(phen)4(H2O)13(2), Cu(L1)2(C3H4N2)4(H2O)2(3),(L1)(C4H10N2)(4),(L1)(C10H8N2)(5),(L1)(C14H14N4)(6),(L1)(C2H8N2)(7),[Zn(L2)]n(8),[Zn (L2)(C20H11N4)· nC2H5OH]n(9),[Co (L2)(C20H11N4)· nC2H5OH]n(10),[Co L2(H2O)]n·0.5H2O (11). Compound1,2,3areconstructed by L1through coordinate bonds,4,5,6are compounds construced throughH bonds by L2,8,9,10are constructed by L2through coordinate bonds,11iscoordination compounds constructed by L3. Both compound1and2are constructed byL1and Cu(П), however, X-ray diffraction indicate that compound1and2have similarmonodisperse structure, compound1shows chiral helical chain-like strcture maybe dueto the difference of auxiliary ligands and synthetic methods. Compound8showsthree-dimensional rhmbic channel structure,9and10are composed of two helicalchains building a two-dimension network structure, compound11has atwo-dimensional channel structure. Although both8and9are constructed by L2andZn(П), the auxiliary ligand4-4’-bis(imidazole)methl]biphenyl reduced the bridgingintroduction between the metal atoms forming a lower dimension, which is easy to forma helical structure. Structures of9and10indicated chiral ligand can induce flexibleachiral auxiliary ligand to produce a chiral structure. Coordinated water molecules in11limited the extension in a axis direction to form two-dimensional channel structure. Incompounds constructed by hydrogen bonds,4and6show zigzag chains,5has chiral helical chain and7has a circle structure. In4-7,the rigid-flexible difference betweenauxiliary ligands caused different saturation and direction of hydrogen bonding. Wespeculate that flexibility can be passed through hydrogenbonds. All compounds are characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, X-raydiffraction, and fluorescence spectra etc, and some exhibited good fluorescenceproperties.
