Laser cutting is an automated, high precision and high speed cutting method. Inthis paper, We use fiber laser cutting machine produced by Shenzhen Musentechnology Co., Ltd. to carry out experimental research. The main contents are asfollows:(1) The influence of the auxiliary line to cutting quality was explored throughexperiment. We found that when the cutting angle closed to90°, the incisionappeared the best quality. If circumstances condition permited, the length of theauxiliary should be extended.Single factor experiments were done on the basis of the location of the auxiliaryline was determined. The effects of laser power, pulse width and assist gas for cuttingquality were investigated. The experimental results showed that by using laser power39W, pulse width45us, the air pressure1.3Mpa to cut316L low carbon stainles stellof0.15mm thick could get a better macro-morphology.(2) The common problems of the SMT laser stencil cutting were analyzed in detail,and the solving measures were put forward.(3) In this paper, the relationship of the laser cutting process parameters on thequality of the processing hole was expored. Laser drilling experiments showed thatthe hole diameter increases with laser energy increasing; Narrow pulse widthavailabled to a larger aperture. To obtain the minimum aperture of the hole, thespecific location of the focus dued to the different materials. Auxiliary gas is also animportant parameter influence the quality of laser drilling, which plays a role inblowing the molten metal and cooling the workpiece, for stainless steel, with oxygenas the effect of assist gas.(4) Alumina ceramic cutting and dicing experiments were done. Results show thatcompared with the cutting, dicing cutting trimming smooth and dross generation; Thelaser scribing cutting to be choosed when high cutting precision is requested.
