Laser cutting in various areas of processing, owes a wide range of applications. Laser cutting contains narrow kerf, small heat treating of metals deformation, high precision, high speed and low pollution, high efficiency, good flexibility, wide application range and low noise. At present, CNC laser cutting machine demand is growing.The market is potential and has a very impressive prospect. Laser cutting numerical control system is devoted to achieve localization of laser equipment and meet the integration, automation, digital control and other requirements, while responding to social requirements of sustainable development. The problem with that is designed to transmit by Ethernet bus is to solve the traditional laser cutting machine complicated signal line, anti-interference ability, short transmission distance and other shortcomings. On PA8000LW(Milling Version) to develop a laser cutting special edition, laser cutting CNC system is networked, intelligent and a new attempt.PA(Power Automation) CNC system is a fully software-based CNC.Based on Windows XP system, it owes good stability and openness, so it attracted more attention. The good and the bad of laser cutting quality depends on the following aspects: mechanical system rigidity, the servo motor in response to the pace, the material thickness, the cutting speed, real-time laser output power, laser focus position, the defocus amount, and the auxiliary gas pressure.The paper does a brief introduction about the architecture and a variety of interfaces of PA system. The design focuses on three aspects: Laser cutting CNC system man-machine interface development and Motion Control software and PLC software development, Research of cutting process parameters, The motor response to the influence of a workpiece. Specific research results are as follows:1. Researching architecture of PA CNC system and a variety of interface, we developed a special version of the laser interface.It owes friendly and convenient user interface and improves the experience of human-computer interaction. Complete with the transmission of Ethernet communication about all external module and realize the motion of the control process, and reflect the flexible, reliability, noise immunity of bus communication.2. The relevant process parameters on the quality of the laser cutting carried out mathematical modeling.Do modeling experiments about thickness from 1mm to 5mm about carbon steel plate.3. Study the servo motor parameters and research the workpiece under the impact of the servo motor parameters.Look ahead deficiencies of the paper.Little reference to development of Laser CNC.
