However, due to the restrictions of its own conditions, many apparel enterprises have been behind the times the pace of change. Enterprise information is a method of promoting industrialization. Most of the managers also realize that the only method what can develop the enterprise is combining advanced methods of management with information technology. In this background, the tide of enterprise information makes the application of ERP system in Chinese manufacturing industry stride a new stage and many apparel enterprises introduce and develop the information management systems in different degrees.The main content of this paper is the application of ERP system in the production of apparel enterprise. The paper analyses the production characteristics and management mode of the clothing enterprises. After referencing the ERP system’s research and the development of the apparel enterprise, the module should be designed based on the modular thought. The system’s implementation raises the enterprise’s market competitive power and perfects the enterprise management system.Firstly, the paper introduces the status quo of the apparel enterprise informationization, and points out that using ERP system is an important way of apparel enterprise informationization.Secondly, the paper introduces the basic concept, development process, basic management thoughts and research at home and abroad of ERP system. And the paper analyzes the status of implementation of ERP system in the Chinese apparel enterprises. On the basis, the problems in the process of implementation of ERP system are summarized and solutions are put forward.Then, this paper introduces the general situation of the target enterprise. By analyzing inadequacies of the target company in management and demand of the enterprise nformationization, the goal of implement ERP system was cleared.Finally, the paper analyses characteristics of production management and inventory management business processes in apparel enterprise. The system module which is more in line with the status of apparel enterprises is designed by using Delphi language in the SQL database and the use of modules is introduced in detail. On the analysis of the main module, the security of the system is studied. In the practical application in enterprise, the superiority of the system is verified. The implementation of the system can improve the management level of enterprises, and promote the development of the enterprise.
