Microwave Technology Application In Pretreatment And Dyeing Pure Cotton Fabric

The microwave technology was applied to the preparation with one bath process and dyeing with the reactive dye for the cotton fabrics.The influence of the bath ratio, NaOH, H2O2and various additives on the one-bath pretreatment process of the cotton fabrics was discussed in this condition. And the whiteness, desizing grade, the capillary effect and the breaking strength of the textile were compared with that disposed by the conventional process with the common water bath heating condition. The results showed that it could achieve the ideal pretreatment effect within a few minutes by the microwave heating experiment, which saved the energy significantly.The influence of various factors on the value of the relative color strength of the dyed fabrics was also discussed in the microwave heating condition. Many performance indexes such as the rubbing fastness and washing fastness of the dyed fabrics were compared in the processes with the water bath heating and microwave heating. The results suggested that the dyeing time of the cotton fabrics could greatly shortened with the microwave heating, and the dyeing effect of the fabric was similar to that treated by the conventional dyeing process.
