Research Of Cotton Fiber’s Pretreatment

This paper is on the research of the cationic modification of cotton fiber,which is to do cationic modification to cotton which is in fiber state to improve its dyeing performance.Its main contents include the specific theory analysis of cationic modification,the main influence factors of cotton fiber’s cationic modification technique,the modification’s major effect to the cotton fiber morphological structure,and the changes of dyeing performance of cationic cotton fiber and its causation.The study of cationic modification on cotton fabrics have been done before in domestic and overseas which is mainly on the cotton fabric.And the yarn’s cationic modification also has a small amount of involved.But the related research on the cotton fiber is very few.And these studies before is mainly aims at the performance of the modified products,of its content about the introduction of modification’s specific theory is not much.So this paper’s research content just fills the gaps.As the cotton fiber is dyed by direct dye,active dye,reduction dye,curing dye and other dye,the cotton fiber in the water solution is negative charges,and the dyes in the water solution is also negatively charged.The cotton fiber and the dyes repel each other;go against the fiber’s dying process.In order to improve the dye uptake,eliminate the exclusion between the cotton fiber and dyes,we do cationic modification to cotton fiber which grafted cationic group onto cellulose molecules.The cationic group makes the cotton fiber and the dyes attract each other,so as to improve the dyeing performance of the cotton fiber.The improvement of cotton fiber’s dyeing performance mainly includes the enhancement of cotton fiber to dye absorption rate,the increase of the cotton fiber’s soaping fastness and the realization of non-salt non-alkali dyeing.The paper finds that the cationic cotton fiber to dye absorption rate is greatly improved.On the one hand,this can enhance the production’s dyeing vividness and the final production’s appearance,improve product quality and value-added and reduce the cost.On the other hand,this modification can reduce the dye in the dyeing residual liquid,bring the difficulty of the factory’s handle with the dyeing waste liquid down,so as to reduce the production cost,but also reduce the pollution to the environment,catering to the social attach great importance to the environment problem.And the enhancement of modified cotton fiber’s soaping fastness is further ensuring the quality of the products.Cationic process after the cotton fiber can achieve non-salt and non-alkali dyeing,which on the one hand reduce the production costs and on the other hand makes the dyeing residual liquid’s ingredients simple,that is beneficial to the recovery of dyeing and conform to the requirements of clean production.This paper is expected to detail the process of cotton fiber’s cationic modification and its influence factors by a lot to try and experiment.To make the modification mechanism clear by means of observe the changes of cationic modified cotton fiber’s macro and micro structure.Finally,we can provide some valuable reference for the application and research of cationic modified cotton fiber.
