Song Period Of Disaster Research In Shandong District

The dissertation’s main study subjects are inundation , severe drought, plague of locustsand many other disasters , which happened in Shandong area . On the basis of consultinghistorical materials and some local records in Song and Jin Dynasties . According to theserecords of historical materials , I try to analyse the natural calamities of Song Dynasty accordingto the following aspects:First , basic conditions of natural calamities . According to these records of historicalmaterials , I list the disasters happened in Song and Jin Dynasties and study patterns frequenciesseasons regions and so on . Basic on these , I analysis the defects of the natural calamities’ study .Second , I try to find out the reasons why disasters frequently happened in Song and Jindynasties . That is , the happening of calamities is connected with natural causes and socialcauses , and realize that the destruction of ecological environment plays more important part .Inundation wae the most frequently happened in Song and Jin Dynasties . Frequent floods inYellow River is the reason why inundations happens and people did not do well with . Third , theinfluence of natural calamities . On one hand , the natural calamities causes the economic losses ,refugees and riot . On the other hand , due to the lack of adequate for the knowledge of naturalscience , The ancients were unable to understand the natural calamities , They worried about itand were so scared of it , they regards the disasters as the God’s scourge . That’s the reason whythe theory of Disaster Scourge was widly spreaded , and conversely it would have the badinfluence on the relief activities . Finally , Facing to the sudden natural calamities , The officialsof Shandong aera made their job clear and cooperated each other very well , They took theeffective measures to relief the natural calamities and help the people who were in danger ,Especially FuBi’s Providing Disaster Relief, which was well-known in Song dynasty , Theofficials named it FuBi’s Law and spreaded it to the whole country .
