Avian community of the reintroduction habitat of the Crested Ibis in Ningshan were investigated by line transects and point count method from March to November in2011and February in2012, research contents includes structure composition, species diversity and dynamic change and interspecific relationship and other aspects. Accroding to the survey results, combined with the historical data, a total of169bird species which belongs to13families and45orders were recorded in research area. Among them,62species belong to the Palaearctic realm,79species belong to the Oriental realm and28species are widely distributed; there are107residents,41summer migrants,11winter migrants and10travelers. The avian community diversity index is3.4878, evenness index is0.7154and dominance index is0.0476.The structure characteristics of the avian community in different seasons indicate that a total of99bird species be recorded in the reintroduction habitat of the Crested Ibis in Ningshan, in spring, the avian community species have the maximum value and the diversity index maintain the highest level, but the dominance index is the lowest.A total of76bird species be recorded in summer, the avian community has the lowest density, the diversity and evenness index are also in the lowest level. In fall, there are76bird species, the density and the dominance index of avian community are the highest. In winter,62bird species be recorded, the species number of avian community is the lowest, but the evenness index is the highest.The avian community the reintroduction habitat of the Crested Ibis in Ningshan changes in every month. This phenomenon shows that the habitat avian community species generally have higher level throughout the year, and the number of species of avian remained relatively stable. There are two migration periods in every year, one of them is the spring migration periods from the early April to the late May. The other is the Autumn migration periods from the early September to the late October. In those periods the fluctuation of avian community species is large. The avian community species reach the maximum value,67, in May. And the avian community species maintain a high level in March, August, and February, which reach over60. But the minimum value shows in June which is about49.And they maintain a low level in September, about51.With the Crested Ibis behave feature, the Crested Ibis habitat include3types activity areas, nesting areas, roost sites and foraging sites. Foraging sites has the most number and species of birds and the highest diversity index; the highest evenness index of bird happened in nesting areas; roost sites has the highest bird dominance index. Some interrelated data are provided for protect the reintroduction community of the Crested Ibis and bird diversity.Avian community structure characteristics with different season in the nesting areas of the Crested Ibis show that the maximum species of avian community is appeared in spring and diversity index is the highest, yet the dominance index is the lowest; avian community species in summer has the lowest level, density and various species diversity index has relatively low; avian community has the highest density in autumn, but evenness index is the lowest; avian community species and diversity are the lowest in winter, however the evenness and the dominance index are the highest. Avian community characteristics in different seasons of the roost sites of the Crested Ibis, it result show that, avian community in spring has the most species number and the highest diversity index, but it has the lowest density and dominance index; in summer, avian community has a low level in species number and density and dominance, yet evenness index maintain at the higher level; avian community in fall has the highest density, but evenness index is the lowest; avian community in fall has the lowest species number and diversity, however it has the highest level in evenness and dominance index. Avian community characteristics with different season in the foraging sites of the Crested Ibis show that avian community species and diversity index maintain at the highest level, but the dominance index is the lowest; in summer, avian community species and density at a low level, diversity and evenness index are the lowest, yet dominance index is the highest; density of avian community in autumn is the highest; avian community species and density in winter are the lowest, however evenness index is the highest and the dominance index maintain at a higher level.
