Xiao jiayao volcano in the Datong Basin is located in the uppermantle uplift where crustal thickness. There are many faultzones, resulting in upward movement of mantle material on the Earthsinterior and produce the magma activity. This paper analysis theSedimentary response characteristics of Xiao jiayao volcano activityand to explore the relationship between the regional tectonicmovement, Ultimately lay the foundation for the Datong Basin tectonicmovement. It provide new clues to the tectonic evolution of the lakebasin in Shanxi graben system. We found that the volcano is located in the ancient lake, the lakesubmerged volcanic eruption except outside of the cone.In this context, when the volcano eruption that scoria, volcanic ash falling into the lake, forming a significant bedding accumulation of volcanic material layer, and lacustrine with the clay layer. We Select two representative sections to analysis:①Measure thedeposition layer:the deposition of volcanic cone in the upper part, nearthe lake front, volcanic ejecta and ash layer occurrence took place tilt, the greater the formation time of more than early and at the bottom, sedimentary. Four active period of volcanic material deposited:The firstsedimentary layers dip about34°, the second is20°,the third is10°,the fourth is6°, That is Represents the different active volcanic period.②We measure the fourth volcanic eruption of magnetic susceptibility,OSL dating of lacustrine deposits of silt layer overlying the third volcaniceruption. A preliminary study of the loess-paleosol sequence:The fourthactive period occurred in the L1loess accumulation period; the OSLdating results show the third period occurred in the L2loessaccumulation period; According to literature data, the second era andthe first phase of volcanic activity may correspond to the L5, L8of the loess accumulation period. First, second and third accumulation layer isdeposited under the lakeside environment, the fourth active period ofthe accumulation layer under the air; the second, fourth active periodof accumulation layer of loess-paleosol layer, the accumulation layeron top of the third active period covered lacustrine sedimentary layers.③The lacustrine samples particle size analysis showed that: the grain sizefrequency curves and the probability of the particle size cumulativecurve and parameter analysis shows that the lacustrine sedimentaryenvironment is unstable; the lacustrine sediment of the first and the thirdactive accumulation layer which grain size from coarse to thicken, andthen from thicken to coarse, The rhythm changes are reflected in thelake transgression and regression.According to the analysis of the factors and processes of regionallake transgression and regression.Xiao jiayao volcanic regions laketransgression and regression belongs to a rapidly regression, the lakeslowly into the mode.According to the Datong Basin geophysical data, Xiao jiayaovolcanic region of lake transgression and regression is mainly caused bytectonic movement, Period of volcanic eruptions caused substantiallake regression with the upper mantle strongly. Xiao Xiayao volcanicactivity indicating in the corresponding period in the accumulation ofloess L8, L5, L2,, and L1, whe the mantle material of the basin in thedeep crust is very strong. The upper mantle material on the one handwill make the basin crustal uplift. Pelvic floor corresponding to raise andlower the height difference with the downstream flow threshold.A largenumber of water and with strongly Lake regressive.Volcanic stable orcalm during in the upper mantle is weaker activity or a more quietperiod. The resulting volcanic lakes where the region of the crust andpelvic floor gradually settlement, the lake basin occurred in a slowtransgressive.
