Old Man’s Physical And Mental Health Status In Urban Empty Nest And Its Countermeasure Research

The aging of the population has become a hot issue in today’s world. China is the most serious aging country in the world, at the same time, China has the characteristics of fast economic development, aging running faster than economic development and the imbalance of regional development. Along with the implementation of the family planning policy in the70’s of the last century as well as the development of later industrialization, city and modernization process, great and profound changes have taken place in the family structure in China:the traditional family model are replaced by various new family patterns, especially for single-parent family, single family and the empty-nest family which has become an important family model in china.This study is based on the empty nester in Xinyang city and the concept of empty-nest families are combed and defined. It defines the reasonable accuracy according to the elderly mental health theory of Professor Wu Zhenyun. It is thought that the physical and mental health of the elderly refers to the complete basic psychological activity of the elderly process, coordination, and the harmonious situation in physiology, psychology and society. Based on the previous studies, through the method of interview and survey, the research makes up the questionnaire investigation of physical and mental health of elderly people, selecting people over the age of60from different places in Xinyang City. Through exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, it forms the formal health survey questionnaire of the elderly. Using the physical and mental health of the elderly questionnaire, it investigates the general characteristics and development status of Xinyang city empty nester’s physical and mental health. Finally, based on the low level of physical and mental health status of city empty nester, strategies from four aspects are put forward to improve the physical and mental health of empty nester.The results show that:(1) the questionnaire investigation of physical and mental health of the elderly has high reliability and validity. Through the project analysis on physical and mental health questionnaire and exploratory factor analysis of the elderly, six factors can be extracted which explained67.847%of the total variance, Cologne Bach coefficient is.831, the split-half reliability is.881; confirmatory factor analysis was performed on the physical and mental health of the elderly is the physical and mental health questionnaire, CMIN/DF in the elderly was2.805, CFI0.906, TLI0.894, GFI0.814, IFI0.907, AGFI0.775, showed that the questionnaire model fits better.(2) Taking "Questionnaire" investigation of physical and mental health for the elderly as measurement tools, physical and mental health status are investigated in360elderly people from different streets in Xinyang City, the results show that empty nester’s physical and mental health level was lower than empty nester elderly people living alone. The level of physical and mental health is much lower. Empty nester’s physical and mental health has significant differences in gender, age, education, occupation before retiring, economic sources before retiring and monthly income and other variables.
