In this paper, an important theory in Ming dynasty---’Four composers of Yuanqu’ is discussed. According to the sorting, induction, analysis of the situation in collections and scores of the Chinese operas of Guan Hanqing, Bai Pu, Ma Zhiyuan, Zheng Guangzu, this article will discuss the background of the Chinese operas in Ming dynasty then.The article consists of four chapters. Chapter1mainly defined the study object and completed the formers’ result of research. The last three parts will analysis the background of the Chinese operas in Ming dynasty according to the collection situation of the’Four composer of Yuanqu’. The second part focuses on the full operas; the third part focuses on the discrete operas; the last part focuses on the verse operas.
