The intonation of second language has an important relation with students’ mother language background. In the process of studying Chinese intonation, the mother tongue affects it naturally, and its attunement’s high as well as length are often applied when studying Chinese intonation. Though this may help students learn faster, it will cause a number of biased error. This is the characteristic of Vietnamese students when studying Chinese. This essay use audio experiments method, with30Vietnamese students studying Chinese progress.This essay has4chapters. The first chapter is introduction. The second chapter is a experimental analysis of Chinese attunement spoken by30Vietnamese students with different Chinese level, different age and gender, using software Praat to analyze their attunement’s high and length. The third chapter is perception experiment, in order to find the relation between Chinese intonation pronunciation and perception, the writer makes a test for elementary students in listening tone and perception, and also analyze the biased error of other students in different Chinese levels. The fourth chapter is a comparative analysis of Chinese and Vietnamese attunement high and length, using the theory of second language acquirement and intedanguage theory, analyze the biased error of Vietnamese students when speaking Chinese, also present the similarities and differences between Chinese and Vietnamese attunement high and length. Also, find the reasons and rules of those biased error, thus suggest some good methods.
