Wan Shouqi (1603-1603), also name Nianshao,Samenhuishou,shoudaoren and so on. He is Qing dynasty’famous calligrapher, painter, and poeter. This present article is about Wan Shouqi calligraphy especial research.This paper is from his social groups, against Qing dynasty activities and other aspects’ analysis and combing to make every effort to restore the original things. During Ming and Qing transforming dynasties, Wan Shouqi as a literaty calligrapher,he has always abide by filial piety in the Confucianism beliefs, retained a firm national integrity. This kind of faith and moral integrity to fight in completely powerless time, converted to recreate in poetry, calligraphy and painting aspects. His psychological oppression transfered at the same time, painting and calligraphy art gave him the stubborn spirit. Wan Shouqi’s learning calligraph course, analysis and study of calligraphy, made him jump out of the teacher’s barriers, mainly because he had learned numerous copybooks, which determined his learning of the ancient person rather than mechanically doing it,he can learn all kinds of types and have more divisions or identified options. Wan Shouqi’s highest calligraphy achievement is the lower case, which experienced three changes, in puxi he became a hidden monk, his calligraphy type tend to be more sincere and natural, with detachment and simple realm. Taking Wan Shouqi’s main cultural activities as the main line, through the related poetries, inscriptions and calligraphy works, letters, etc to tease out and collate the historical materials, so as to parse Wan Shouqi calligraphy type and changing formation causes.
