In this paper, the ancient documents and archaeological materials in the Republic of China since the combination of Hexi region through scientific investigation and excavation of the burial system of typology, to establish the development sequence of Hexi sixteen tombs, explore the evolution laws of the development. This paper is divided into five parts:The first part:introduction. It defines the object of study, traced back to its discovery, research progress, and discusses the research present situation and the existence question, explains the research objective and method.The second part:according to the geographical location, administrative division tomb during the sixteen country in Hexi area is divided into Dunhuang, Jiuquan Jiayuguan area and Wuwei area. According to the basic shape, the tombs of the funerary objects characteristic and combination in Dunhuang region is divided into two phases five tombs, graves in Jiuquan, Jiayuguan area is divided into three periods and three sections, Wuwei area is divided into two phases two tombs.The third part:through the study of the tombs of the partition and staging, summed up by the three regional burial culture.
