A Study On The Localization Of Foreign Literary Theories In The21St Century (2000-2012)

The localization of foreign literary theories in the21st century is closely related to the key problem of rebuilding contemporary literary theory. First, the comparative study of Chinese and Foreign literary theory, and the transformation of Chinese theory are hot topics in academia. Secondly, these topics contain cutting-edge issues of rebuilding contemporary literary theory. The paper organizes knowledge with theoretical problems, and studies the foundational topics of the localization of foreign literary theories, such as its cause, essence, progress, problems and solutions. It concludes that, the localization of foreign literary theories is important to the development of the contemporary local literary theories, but we should avoid excessive emphasis on localization. Based on the academic history review, the author selects the recent10years since the21st century as the main timeline to study. In the discussion of specific problems, the timeline may be expanded forward or backward as needed. The research contribution is threefold. First, it organizes, complement and reflects on current research materials. Secondly, it tries to expand fresh ideas to neglected topics, including the foreign cause of the localization. Moreover, the research proposes new hypotheses on the original objects.
