Overview Of Chinese Education In Southern Myanmar

Southern Myanmar is the main area of economic and trade development of the Unionof Myanmar. In addition, since from olden days, it has always been the home of thenation’s capital. With the development of the nation’s reformation, Myanmar hasembarked on its way towards the emerging financial and social systems. Therefore,economic and business trade relationship with developed countries has grown, particularlywith our very close neighbor, the People’s Republic of China. Southern Myanmar is theplace where majority of the overseas Chinese reside. In recent years, these overseasChinese continue to promote Chinese culture and language. However, despite theirconstant positive efforts, the non-governmental phenomenon of Chinese culture andlanguage has brought them much difficulties and inconvenience. This article is mainlyabout the current development trend of Chinese education in southern Myanmar, thecurrent issues, the ideal solution and countermeasures.
