Su shi as the main representative figure of "scholars’ writings and paintings." inChina, All of its profound literary accomplishment, complex philosophy, maverickarts road, make Su shi become hot topics in the study of later generations. The studiesof Su shi’s calligraphy are always coutless, this article have found a little gap in thewave of previous studies, thinks that Su shi’s calligraphy thought mainly reflected fornature, for it is Su shi’s main spirit manifestation, but nature is the core of all of itsthought, so this article is trying to collect information as much as possible, to conducta comprehensive, detailed, systematic analysis and research for Su shi’s naturalcalligraphy thought, and strive to have a deep and a clear descriptionn for Su shi’snatural calligraphy thought’s origin, cause,connotation, influence and so on.Nature not only is the main aspect of Su shi’s calligraphy thought, moreover isthe major expression of Su shi’s calligraphy style,concerning Su shi’s naturalcalligraphy thought,this paper divided into five chapters.The first chapter, sorts out the formation of the natural calligraphy ideas yet,makes the natural calligraphy thought’ source, performance, and features clear one byone before the Song Dynasty. lay a macroscopical foundation to Su shi’s naturalthought.The second chapter, emphatically describes the Song Dynasty calligraphy naturalideas, from two aspects of content and features of Song Dynasty calligraphy naturalideas yet different from previous dynasties. For expansion of below Su Shi upholdnatural thought presents a macro analysis of the background.The third chapter, the system analyzes the formation cause of Su shi’s calligraphynatural ideas yet, first of all paper discusses the formation of Su shi’s calligraphynatural ideas yet historical inevitability from the background; Then from Su shi’s philosophy and calligraphy analyzed the inherent ideological basis of Su shi’s naturalthought; Finally from the genuine personality of Su shi, illustrates the innateconditions forming Su shi’s calligraphy natural ideas yet. So, both external conditions,and internal factors, all promote the formation of Su shi’s calligraphy natural thought,his thoughts are natural, according with call of times, its formation is inevitable.The fourth chapter, in detail explain the performance of Su shi’s naturalcalligraphy thought yet, respectively in two aspects embodied Su shi’s calligraphictheory and the natural calligraphy thought. First, comb summarized the naturalthought of Su shi’s calligraphic theory, respectively from the creative attitude,mentality, methods, other literary view and aesthetic standard and so on, show thatSu shi’s natural calligraphy thought has become a system which full of complete anddialectical thought; Next, partly introduced Su shi’s natural calligraphy thoughtreflected in his calligraphy works, simply analyzed Su shi’s calligraphy works, pointsdout that Su shi’s perfect combination between theory and practice.The fifth chapter, summarize the position of Su shi’s natural calligraphy thoughtin Song Dynasty and its influence to the later generations. Respectively, compareHuang Tingjian’s and Mifu’s natural calligraphy thought with Su shi’s, points out theuniqueness of Su shi’s natural calligraphy thought yet in Song Dynasty andirreplaceable leader status. And then, this paper analyzes Su shi’s natural calligraphythought influent on the romantic calligraphic style in late Ming Dynasty and thedisputes between stone insciptiones and notepads in the Qing Dynasty, showed thatSu shi’important position in the history of ancient China.
