This is a translation project report of Translation as a Profession by DanielGouadec, of which Chapter17Training Translators is the source text. The source textdiscusses the challenges and possible ways of training translators, includes theurgency and significance of scientific training. The author pointed out the courseobjectives and profiles, course components, and a combination of methodology andtheory with hands-on experience and guidance. Analyzing the specialization oftranslators, he indicated that all students should be prepared to specialize by domain,type of material, medium or translation technology as soon as possible, although thechoice of a specialist field will depend on demands and on the circumstances.
