Study On Human Spirit And Design Inheritance Based On Tie-dye Art

Tie-dye plays an important role in the traditional handicraft art,which fills avacancy in themodern human art with its simplicity in beauty and eternal cultural connotation. Thus, itenlightens us a thinking about the essence of life. In the society fulfilled with depression andfidget, more and more people try to seek a comfort on some traditional elements. Tie-dye art isregarded as an excellent traditional culture in China, but what worries us is its currentdevelopment, for instance, inferior quality, lack in innovation, empty in emotion, etc. Takingthis situation into consideration, it shows us both theoretical and realistic significance to make aresearch in the inheritance of tie-dye. This thesis is focusing on the explanation of tie-dye infour aspects,that is,tracking its historical development excavating its cultural spirit explainingthe significance of its inheritance and practicing the creativity.Through all of this,we expectmore and more people will know more and attention more about the inheritance anddevelopment of tie-typ and we also expect the special beauty in art of tie-dye will enrich ourspirit world and freshen our traditional culture.In order to make a complete research,this thesis will use the methods of theoryreorganization,phenomenon analysis,outdoors investment,practice application,etc.The researchwill be done mainly in four parts.Firstly,it is about the historical development of tie-dye,thispart is to pave a road for next context by explaining the definition and origin of tie-dye art andorganizing clearly about the evolution of its pattern color and handicraft based on the relics andbibliographies author collected,together with author’s personal opinions.Secondly,it says thereflection of human spirit in tie-dye,This part is to define humanity and human spirit andconclude human spirit to honesty (objectivism) kindness (purpose) and beauty (union ofhonesty and kindness).Thirdly,it tells the significance and method for inheritance throughresearch,first of all author will combine the current development situation of tie-dye in Chinaand the author’s site inspection near Dali to analyse the significance of inheritance of tie-dyethen provide concrete methods for inheritance from pattern,color and handicraft.Fourthly itrefers to the creativity and practice of tie-dye.Taking creativity and practice as medium, thesistheory as proof and figure of the Buddha as research material,this partwill clearly advise how author produces ideas for research,show the external human spirit in example and tell people that it’s creative and eyes-catching to connect figure of the Buddha with tie-dye.To conclude,creating a plain, quiet and human-cultural works of tie-dye has a realistic significance andfeasibility, even though now the development of tie-dye is not bright.With the return and rebuilding in theory and practice of tie-dye, we have reasons to believetie-dye will be fresh again with its special characters in handicraft and cultural charm so that itwill pour new blood into modern design area.we expect more and more designers will beresponsible for continuing and carrying out more brilliant works because a vacancy in tie-dye isnot allowed in this generation.
