Research On The Poetry Of Northern Shaanxi In Tang Dynasty

The north area of Shaanxi province has the time-honored history and culture.But because of the remote geographical location, inconvenient transportation,backward education and deep belief about military force, scholars always paid less attention about the the culture and literature of Northern Shaanxi.The study on it was also not in depth. The army of Tang Dynasty and the cavalry troop of the ethnic minorities often had battles and wars in Northern Shaanxi. The traditional culture of the central area and the custom of the ethnic minorities impacted each other and mixed together in this area. Many poets came here to be an assistant of a ranking official or general. The unique geographical features, human landscapes,folk customs and lifestyles did strike the new comers a lot, especially in the aesthetic and visual aspects. They enjoyed the natural scenery and folk customs,knew the lifestyles of the ethnic minorities that were arranged in Northern Shaanxi, experienced the daily life of the generals and the soldiers and realized their feelings and thoughts from heart.All the unique resources really broadened the poets’ horizon, offering a huge passions and inspirations for them.
