Exploration About The Construction Of Image Space In Zhang Jian’s Paintings:Secret Of Xi Ren

Traditional Chinese figure painting has undergone a flourishing period from the1990s, devoting lots of Chinese painters into this artistic work. However, with the society development and intercultural communication, painters pay more attention to the expression of space creation. The expression of individual perception becomes extremly important. Therefore, the theory of "idea goes first" has gradually accepted and adored by more and more young painters. Their management of space becomes more and more diversified as well. The Secret of Xi Ren is a typical representative work painted by Zhang Jian in his transitional period of painting. He used narrative expression to combine the western classical paintings with traditional Chinese elements. The space, figure, line and the classical atmosphere created by ink in the work are all quite natural.
