The present time witnesses more and more international students study medicine in C hina as the medicine science of China rises in the global medical academic status, and the medical education of China is increasingly approved globally. Statistics show the re were more than40,000medical international students in China of2011, accounting for the major group of international students except those studying Chinese language. In order to bring in more international students and to meet their need of medical ed ucation in English in China, the majority universities and colleges in China have adop ted teaching stuff in English and organized classes in English too which contributes to the nationalization of medical education of China, to the increase of international stu dents, and to the medical license capture and employment of those international students. According to clause8of the temporary provisions of quality control standard for und ergraduate medical education (teaching in English) of international students in China by the educational ministry in2007, the medical international undergraduates should f irst of all know basic Chinese language and general Chinese situation. Moreover, they should study Chinese language as a compulsory course of their whole study career to adapt themselves to their study and life in China and to their interaction with patients in their late study career according to clause14, which shows the purpose of Chinese teaching and the requirement of Chinese teaching arrangement for the medical intern ational students at universities and colleges in China.In fact, the Chinese teaching for medial international students does not go forward sm oothly, and the result is not satisfactory. Therefore, it is crucial to simulate those stude nts to study Chinese positively and to promote the Chinese teaching quality for them. The present paper is aimed at analyzing the status quo and pointing out the problems with corresponding solutions of Chinese teaching for the medical international studen ts so as to improve the situation and quality of Chinese teaching for the medical intern ational students.
