Body language is a special kind of language phenomenon, so there is its specialfunction. It is an important part of the nonverbal communication, which can sometimes aidspoken language, and sometimes, even can replace the spoken language to play the role ofcommunication tool temporarily. Body language helps discourse mutual understanding inorder to make the language more abundant. This article researches body language from theperspective of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. At First, the paper provides a briefintroduction about body language. what’s more, it tells the body language in theclassification in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, meaning and function. Secondly,this paper focuses on the body language in the application in teaching Chinese as a foreignlanguage. The unique value based on body language, we can see the TCFL teachers shouldconscientiously strengthen the accomplishment, in the teaching conscious use correct bodylanguage, exert its in the teaching of a variety of functions. The teacher should consciouslyuse the correct posture language and play the variety of functions in the teaching.Therefore, the end of the article points out the training and body language teachers shouldbe formed. Teachers education requirements constantly learning and training their bodylanguage in teaching practice and continuously improving their body language traininglevel so as to better serve teaching.
