In order to find out the relative position between adverbs and subject, and study the grammatical phenomena related, we pick up222adverbs, search their corpus and then divide them into three parts:pre-subject adverbs, post-subject adverbs and adverbs that can be used both in front of subject and behind subject.Which kind of adverbs can be used both in front of subject and behind subject? When they are in different positions, are there any distinctions from the perspectives of syntax, semantics and pragmatics? The main point of this paper is that adverbs with more subjectivity can be used in front of subject more easily. Speaker orientation adverbs, focus sensitive adverbs and free used adverbs usually appear before subject. Subject types, predicate types and syllable will affect the position of adverbs in sentences, and the position of adverbs will affect the focus and scope of sentences and textual connection. In addition, this article divides adverbs into11categories according to their meaning and distribution. And then analyze the features shown in the relative positions between these adverbs and subjects. Most of adverbs that can be used before subject are modal adverbs, adverbs of time and limited adverbs.
