In recent years, with the reinforcement of the comprehensive national power, theinternational status of the Chinese has been rising continuously. Therefore, researcheson Chinese teaching as a foreign language have made substantial progress in everyaspect.Especially in the terms of teaching methodology,applying the games in theteaching of Chinese is gradually being accepted by more and more Chinese teachers,and its effects in improving teaching quality and results has been widelyrecognized.At the same time, a growing number of teachers devote themselves to theresearch of the game teaching method.However, the author finds that the research onadults’ game teaching in university is still a vulnerable spot which needs to be furtherimproved. Thus, this paper makes a further research on game teaching method byempirical studying with his own Chinese teaching experience in Thailand.Theresearch focuses on the students of Rajamangala University of Technology Isan KhonKaen Campus, by combining the well-designed classroom games with questionnairesand tests with contrastive teaching in parallel classes to conduct empirical analysis.According to the findings of the research, game teaching method plays a significantrole in arousing students’learning interests, activating class atmosphere as well asimproving students’academic achievements. Moreover, this kind of teaching methodhas been generally accepted with a high evaluation by the students.After the empiricalresearch, the author carries on a further discussion and study in the design principles,performance evaluation as well as research innovation of game teaching byintegrating the research status.The author hopes to promote the research on adults’ game teaching in theory and practice to provide some practical references to thoseteachers who support game teaching method by this kind of empirical study.
