Psychological resilience refers to effective coping and adaptation although facedwith loss, hardship, or adversity which is important to adolescents’ mental health. Theauthor used the Resilience Scale for Chinese Adolescent chose30students with highlevel of psychological resilience and30students with low level of psychologicalresilience to participate the experiments. First, the author used the questionnairemethod to analyze the positive and negative emotion characteristics of students withdifferent level of psychological resilience. Then, the author explored the attentionalbias to emotional faces at the initial stage and the late stage of attention of studentswith different level of resilience by dot-probe task. Last, the author studied thecognitive processing characteristics of students with different level resilience undertwo different cognitive reappraisal ways.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)At the initial stage of attention, both high resilience group and low resilienceshow attentional bias to negative emotional faces. There is no significant differencebetween two groups.(2)At the late stage of attention, only low resilience group showsattentional bias to negative emotional faces.(3)The positive emotion score of highresilience group is significantly higher than that of low resilience group. The negativescore of high resilience group is significantly lower than that of low resilience group.(4)Under negative cognitive reappraisal way, the reaction time of three kinds of wordsof high resilience group is significantly shorter than that of low resilience group.There is no significant difference between two resilience groups.(5)Under negativecognitive reappraisal way, the reaction time of three kinds of words of high resilience group is significantly shorter than that of low resilience group. There is no significanteffect in different kinds of words.(6)For both two resilience groups, the reaction timeof three kinds of words under positive reappraisal way is significantly shorter thanthat under negative reappraisal way.
