China’s folk paper-cut art is a kind of ancient traditional folk art. It not only has a longhistory, unique style, simple making, plastic simple vivid, and but also full of rich folk cultureand the connotation. China’s folk paper-cut art is in one of the most representative art Chinafolk art. It is not only the Chinese traditional art as an important part of, and at the same timeit maintain all of the folk art culture foundation, so it is also as an abundant source of treasurein our modern graphic design.Folk paper-cut art and modern graphic design no matter from internal culturalconnotation or the models of from external form is has the close relation, so to know andrediscover the folk paper-cut art in the art of language elements, make it as the main researchcontents of this subject, and combined with a large number of case analyzes, combining thetheory with the practice, and further discussed the folk paper-cut art in graphic design, so theapplication in the field of graphic design to explore a new road.This paper is divided into five parts. The first chapter, introduction part simple explainsthis topic selection basis, research contents, research purpose and significance of the researchin the China’s folk paper-cut in the graphic designing. The second chapter, this part is simpleintroduction to China’s folk paper-cut’s original and development, for four features of thelocal paper cutting. In the third chapter, Shaanxi ansai paper-cut as an example, detailedintroduction Ansai paper-cut’s art language in the application of modern graphic design. Inthe fourth chapter, the overall introduce folk paper-cut art in the reflection of graphic design.The fifth chapter, paper-cut art in graphic design of the actual application analyzes, combineswith an example analyzes symbol element reference and application.
