Summary On China’s Historical Chronology Since1950

Chronology table is a kind of reference book for checking the different calendar collationand chronicles. Historical Event Chronology is also named as Big Event Record, Big EventTimeline or Event Record, that is, record all historical events in the order of occurrence intime or in paralleled order, which could help people to know the process of historical eventsand their relationships, thus helps people to find the clues for historical development and toknow the laws of historical development. The compilation of chronology table has a longhistory in China.Abundant works about historical chronology have been published since1950, which hasbrought great convenience to history researchers as well as readers. After collecting, sortingand reading related materials, I would like to divide this thesis into four parts. The first partintroduces the origin and development of the chronology. And the second part mainly focuson the works of historical chronology and the third part will discuss the research theses andworks on historical chronology in which two aspects will be discussed: the research works onancient historical chronology and research works on modern historical chronology. The fourthpart is the summary about historical chronology in ancient times and modern times.
