In the time of Emperor Hanwu, there were so many talent people, and so many elite gathered together in that time. All kinds of literators not only achieved their political ambition under the regime of great unification, but also as literators, they acted as different roles at Emperor Hanwu's elbow. Some literators as duke and great Confucian scholars proposed the political guidance and assisted Emperor Hanwu in governing official innovation. Some literators as assistant rulers (Shi Zhong) became guests of emperor, to create literary Cifu. They tried their best to get appreciation of Emperor Hanwu in different ways, and embedded the dominating centre of power, which formed the special prosperous literature time. The academe has paid attentions to the dominancy of Emperor Hanwu, literary achievements of the time and achievements of some well-known literators. There are rare scholars to study this group of literators generally from the interlacing way of putting those literators together.The thesis tries to study the literary time from the interlacing way of some literators, including four parts. The part one narrates and reviews creation of literature, achievements and stories of literators from fours periods of fifty-four years of Emperor Hanwu's governing, which are plot out according to contemporary great events based on records of official history in the form of chronological table. The part two according to forms, Emperor Hanwu-centered, emphasizes to explore the literary policy of Emperor Hanwu, including planning wisdom, honoring Confucian policy, granting Mountain Tai, trusting supernatural beings and creative literature and so on. This part tries to appreciate Emperor Hanwu from a new perspective. The par three based on the forms, reviews some achievements of dukes and great Confucian scholars and their official honor with their special characteristics, to deepen the understanding of Confucians in the time of Emperor Hanwu. The part four introduces some special literators at Emperor Hanwu's elbow, like groups of assistant ruler, and their achievements, special characteristics. According to their duties, they are divided into three groups, "articles", "comedian", "reply"[Ying Dui]. The thesis tries to explore literature of the time from these parts, to understand politics, culture and thought of this time generally and entirely and unscrambles this time more deeply and clearly.
