In the art gallery of Chinese classical literature, male literati always occupied the mainstream status. Feminine talent had be ignored, just like the weak grass under the rock. It was difficult for them to occupy the important position. Women works were like a chestnut in the sea. They could not be compared with the male literature. Female’s literature was always non-mainstream literature. It was very few and rarely spread, just like shaping the personality as we talked. The exploring of the personality was always based on the male. But in the history of the literature, some women works was presented and worth of studying. This article detected the aesthetic personality of Chinese female scholars, based on the self-personality of them.Aesthetic personality is the personality of aesthetics. When one’s mental outlook reach the realm of aesthetics, his personality can be called aesthetic personality to a certain extent, and it’s basic features are freedom and transcendence. Self-personality of feudal society women has passed beyond the prescription by ancient female literati, which demonstrated their aesthetic personality. This paper tried to take "independence and freedom" as the point, analyze many representative female scholars and their works to discuss aesthetic personality of Chinese female scholars in the traditional cultural context. Chinese ancient scholars have been influenced deeply by the traditional culture. The first part of this paper reviewed the Chinese traditional aesthetic personality, which could be summarized as ethical Confucian aesthetics personality; earthy, chaste and inaction Taoist personality; And the aesthetic personality realm of the "Buddhahood upon en lightenment" Buddhist.The second part of this paper analyzed the self-awareness in the aesthetics personality of Chinese ancient female scholars. Then through the regularity of the society, we analyzed the characteristic of aesthetics personality, and dissected the characteristic of aesthetics personality of Chinese ancient outstanding female scholars concretely such as Ban zhao, Xie daowen,three talent female in Tang Dynasty and Li qingzhao,which showed their attitude of transcendence, then was raised to the height of aesthetic. The last part has discussed briefly the merit of Chinese ancient female scholars aesthetics personality with the contemporary social reality.
