Double Theme Of The Devils

Based on straightening out the details of Dostoevsky’s long novel The Devils, the essay makes a comprehensive study on the source and theoretical origin, points out the structure and the polyphony of the theme and gives the analyzing and exploration to the double theme separately.There are two sources and theme of the Novel, one was the Nechayev Case happened in Moscow and shocked by the Russia and even Europe on27th Nov.1869. The other one was the concept of Atheism, which was thought by Dostoevsky before the Case was happened nearly1year, and later, the concept of Atheism revised as Man of Sin.
