The Hues Impression

Landscape painting is the painters’keen experiences about the nature, which reveal some passion and love with presentation of the ultimate state of visual aesthetics through artistic processing. Landscape painting is a principal method of collecting color material and experience process of color psychological activities.Firstly, in this article it was elaborated that painting was originated in Europe, presenting diverse developing trends in the artistic process. It also gave its own special interpretation of the world art as one of the most significant components of human culture.In the second chapter, Chinese painting, as a transplantation of the exotic culture, has experienced a gestation of hundreds of years, was generated brand new visual impact in the colliding between Chinese and western cultures and is now stepping into a new starting point on the way of diverse development.In the third chapter, it discussed that everyone has their own emotions about different colors. The impact of different colors like red, orange, yellow, green, black, blue and purple in painting is actually the concentration of a painter’s emotions.In the fourth chapter, there is a discussion about the importance of color psychology in landscape painting. Different painters with different psychological experiences created landscape paintings with different styles. As far as it is concerned, every painting is the exterior revelation of the painter’s emotions.In the fifth chapter is the elaboration that colors in paintings are of particular vibrations and impressions for the audience, from which people could feel the painter’s care of life and lives and his or her special feelings.In the sixth chapter, there is an elaboration based on my own experience and feelings in the practice of painting on the characteristics of landscape painting, the psychological effect to people and emotion expression ability and communication between the painters and the audience.A summary was made in the last chapter.This paper mainly made a macroscopic analysis and deepened discussion about psychological experiences and the people’s feelings and impressions of hues in landscape painting from a general introduction of landscape painting and Chinese landscape painting, people’s emotions about colors and the author’s own psychological activities when doing landscape painting.
