Abstract/Summary:
Yu Opera is also known as “He Nan’s clapper”, which is a miraclework of China’s traditional opera and art. Female roles play a veryimportant role in the Yu Opera, accounting for the primacy position of theOpera stage. In the long historical development, the female roles havegone through the period of the transition from the male roles to femaleroles, changing the situation of long-term co-cavity, thereby it greatlyenhances the singing ability of the female roles and their artisticexpressions, which promotes the Yu Opera’s development of both femaleroles and Yu Opera.“Carry the sedan chair” and “General MU” are well-knownrepresentative works of the Yu Opera repertoire, in which some of thefemale roles singing is be sung enduringly nowadays. The thesis takesthese two classical repertoires as examples, arranges the singing featureof the female roles systematically and finds its essence to connect it withthe current China’s folk singing. By comparison and analysis, the thesis identify the countless ties between the two concerts, exploring thesimilarities and differences in order to promote both to learn from eachother, so that the different forms of vocal art can be further developed.The thesis is divided into three chapters in addition to theintroduction and conclusion. Chapter one summarizes the situation ofFemale Roles in Yu Opera. It reveals its categories and the characteristicsof the genre singing through analyzing the course of development of thefemale roles. Chapter two takes the specific work as an example toanalyze the characteristics of the female roles concert, which is theresearch of ontology and the core part of the article. Explaining thefemale roles singing method and summarizing the character andindividuality of the female roles singing through making integrated use ofthe acoustic techniques, air techniques, the resonance, articulation,pronunciation skills. Chapter three analyzes how the opera female rolesand current national singing learn from each other, including how thefemale roles draws on folk singing and how folk singing draws on femaleroles.
