In the people’s real life, people are not willing to face the disease,but it is one of the basic experiences which everybody can experience.Although the disease is a very common phenomenon in pathology, anditself also belongs to the field of medicine research problems, however,once disease and literature intertwined, itself no longer a simplephysiological event and load the heavy traditional cultural significanceand value judgment. Then, the disease was placed on the human Zolasuffering social historical background, gradually formed the illnessnarrative multiple symbol and metaphor literary tradition. However, in recent years people arekeen to study Chinese modern novel substantial disease descriptionignores numerous Chinese ancient novels in Chinese ancient novelsdepiction of illness and disease metaphor traditional culture connotation.So, the article tries to sort out the Chinese ancient novels depiction of illness through the ancient Chinese novels describing the situation inChina, and points out that the metaphor of disease in ancient novelsdisease metaphor cultural uniqueness and extension. In the Chineseancient novels of all sorts of strange things, the disease makes peoplebody rots, deformation, and pursued the souls of people until death.“Disease" is not only physical; the greater is its cultural orientation. Thebehavior of the individual is not standardized, feudal system distortedperceptions, evil harmful morbid psychology etc. have become" disease"caused soil. What’s more," disease" has become the whole nation era, sickand twisted metaphor. The ancient novels became exposing human socialdisease and unhealthy status position and vector.There are four chapters in this paper. The first part elaborated theliterary relationship with disease and disease metaphor connotation; thesecond part focuses on the analysis and elaboration of ancient Chinesenovels depiction of illness, reveals novel disease imagery function ofliterature; third part from disease ethics, social, religious, gender culturefour aspects of disease on the rich traditional culture metaphorconnotation; the fourth part of the leprosy as a case analysis of novels ofthe Ming and Qing Dynasties on leprosy in the writing of marriage, socialcultural metaphor pointing.
