The Tang Dynasty Buddha Phase Of Mogao Grottoes

During the tang dynasty the rapid economic development, political stability, the people’s stable lives and work, facilitates the culture and art development.In feudal China datang empire is a shining pearl.This paper studies different period of social background,the sculpture art achievement and the art wear on the head.This paper takes Bodhisattva of dunhuang mogao grottoes in tang dynasty as the object,divises the tang dynasty into early, prosperous, medium and late tang dynasty,and states the characteristics of the Bodhisattva figure and social economy culture background during the four periods respectively.The paper discusses the evolution of each period of Tang Bodhisattva figure with large quantities of historical evidence,analysize and compare Bodhisattva make-up symbols,such as flower twinkle, eyebrow adornment, make-up, lip shape, YingLuo, etc.Also we excavate the deep meanings by comaring these images from social,political,culture and psychology.Bodhisattva figure art in tang dynasty is the crystallization of the wisdom of ancient artists.We can dig the precious resources and apply to modern art design and make the modern design works go beyond the world.It’s important that art character animation design, design stage, the stage makeup and jewelry design can learn from Bodhisattva figure art.
