Analysis Of The Contemporary Value Of Chinese Traditional Ethics

The Chinese traditional ethics has a long history and profound. It is the Chinesenation’s most precious spiritual wealth. Although the Chinese traditional ethics hasproduced in ancient agricultural society based on the small peasant economy, it stillcontains some excellent ethical principles moral norms which have a positive role inpromoting the development of modern society. Therefore, in the process ofmodernization, under the trend of globalization, carrying forward the traditional ethicsbecomes an important aspect of socialism with Chinese characteristics and spiritualcivilization construction. This paper aims to analyze the reasonable factors of Chinesetraditional ethics, thus dig out the important value of the traditional ethics in the currentsociety, and then puts forward some views for the path of carrying forward the traditionalethics.This paper, which is divided into three parts, attempts to elaborate the contemporaryvalue of Chinese traditional ethics.The first chapter elaborates the connotation and rational factors of Chinesetraditional ethics. First, this paper introduces the concept and characteristics of Chinesetraditional ethics and points out the correct attitude of treating traditional ethics. Second,this part points out the reasonable factors included in Chinese traditional ethics, whichstill has positive significance in modern society. Through elaborating the connotation andreasonable factors of Chinese traditional ethics, provides a theoretical foundation andprerequisite for studying contemporary value of Chinese traditional ethics.The second chapter focuses on the important value of Chinese traditional ethics incontemporary social development. Chinese traditional ethics contains excellentingredients, which can provide the support of moral and ethical values for today’seconomic and social development in China. First, carrying forward the traditional ethicscan provide ethics norms for the development of the socialist market economy. Second,carrying forward the traditional ethics is helpful to deal with the relationship betweenman and man, between human being and natural in market economy correctly. Again,carrying forward the traditional ethics can provide ideological source for constructing thesocialist core value system. In the third chapter, this part explores the path of carrying forward Chinesetraditional ethics. First, this part points out the guiding ideology and basic principles ofcarrying forward the traditional ethics. Second, this part puts forward measures ofcarrying forward the traditional ethics in the new historical conditions.All in all, in the process of modernization, China’s moral construction should bebased on the basis of criticizing and inheriting traditional ethics, and then focused onbuilding socialist ideological ethical system with Chinese characteristics, in order toprovide spiritual motivation and intellectual support for the socialist modernizationconstruction.
