The Research Of Interaction And Integration Of Different Words Across The Straits

The Chinese Mandarin in the mainland and the Taiwanese Chinese are of the sameorigin. However, there has been much differences between them since Taiwan’s isolation fromthe mainland for a long time. In recent years, with the development of economic, culture andeducation between the mainland and Taiwan, the different words will bright somecommunication troubles across the Straits. Unification of vocabulary based on goodunderstanding and communication across the Straits is an inevitable trend well in accordancewith the development of Chinese vocabulary itself. Based on the cross-strait commondictionary collected into2167groups of common different words of statistical analysis, thecommon different words can be divided into “polymorphism”,“synonyms”,“same butdifferent”,“unilateral unique” four types, which can be divided into several small classes.These different words each other can be “interacted” or “integrated”, it is important of thestrategy of “Eight methods and two principles” for the interaction of words. This strategy isnot only beneficial to narrow the differences of cross-strait words and to promote feelings ofpeople on the both sides, but also to facilitate the international promotion of Chinese unifiedand standardized, which can be highlighted the strong practical significance and academicvalue.
