The Study Of Huang Bin-hong’s Painting By Going Out Sketching

Binhong Huang is a landscape painting master with unique spirit of the20th century. In the landscape painting field, he used the past to bring forth the new, and created a new world for the Chinese painting circle. Now the academic circle had made significant studies on his arts. However, these studies were short on his masterpiece of landscape sketch. This paper tried to study on the characteristics of Huang’s sketch of Huangshan Mountain. Through reviews on his whole life, it tried to find out the important role played by Huangshan Mountain sketch on his artistic style. Then this paper discussed the historical reasons behind how Huang formed his landscape painting style, and explained the enlightening significance embodied on his masterpiece and the positive effect on the development of contemporary traditional Chinese painting.
