The official system of Lu is an important part of the official system of the Spring andAutumn Period. The current study on Lu’s official system is mainly about the governmentofficial system and the home official system.Based on the review of the existing research result, this thesis comprehensively andsystemically explores the government official system of Lu with the development andevolution of the official system in the Spring and Autumn Period as a background. Theresearch subject includes the definition of government officials in Lu, official system and itsfunctions,officer-selecting system, examination methods as well as related managementsystem.The thesis contains three parts. Part One summarizes the history and the present situation ofthe study of government official system of Lu in the Spring and Autumn Period, introducesand reviews the primary literatures in the study of official systems and their properties, andgives a definition of government officials. Part Two and Part Three are the main parts. PartTwo reviews three kinds of officials, including administrative officials, religious officials andrear service officials, from relevant historical records. Part Three expounds the managementof government official system of Lu, including officer-selecting system, evaluation system,and hierarchy and salary system.In short, the thesis discusses the government official system of Lu not only by reviewingand studying the history of that time, but by refining and deepening the study angle. Atpresent, few researches focus on the government official system of Lu. Therefore, we hopethat this thesis will be a breakthrough and make innovations.
