The dissertation aimes to build and research the competency model of psychology specialized undergraduates.Some methods,such as transcript content analysis, behavior event interview, data statistics, factors analysis are used to research the competency of undergraduates. It explores the competency model of psychology specialized undergraduates, constructs the psychology specialized undergraduates competency questionnaire and assesses the level of there undergraduates’competency. The following conclusions are induced:(1)There are seventeen traits in competency model of psychology specialized undergraduates: communication, empathy, impact and influence, ambitious, toughness, self-control, planning, action, experience summarize, self-confidence, introspection, initiative, logical thinking, flexibility, invention, professional knowledge and skills, teamwork..All of traits could be included to9factors:interpersonal relationship, achievement orientation, problem solution, self-cognition, initiative, thinking, professional knowledge and skills, teamwork. The assessment results from self-evaluation questionnaire shows that this model suitably outlines the competencies of the postgraduates.(2)On the base of the pre-primary psychology specialized undergraduates’competency model, the study developes the questionnaire "the self-evaluation of psychology specialized undergraduates’ competency".The result showes there were remarkable distinguish between different groups. This result proves that the questionnaire is reliable and valid.(3)Using "the self-evaluation of psychology specialized undergraduates’competency" to assess the level of psychology specialized undergraduates’competency., the result showes that their competency is comparatively satisfactory and meet the basic level. Grade is the major significant factor which influences t he competency level.
