The Research By ZhangHu’s Fude Poem

ZhangHu is a significant poet in the alternate period of middle and late Tang Dynasty. Both his personality and poem creation had great impact on his time and the afterworld. Fude Poem, which was an important part of his poem creation, was highly valued by poetry critics in our history. First of all, in this essay, I am going to classify research and give definition to ZhangHu’s Fude Poems. Then I will analyze the process of the creation of Fude Poems. At last, I will give a description of the influence and the popularity of Fude Poems. Besides the induction and conclusion, this essay will be divided into four chapters. In chapterl, I will give a brief introduction of ZhangHu’s life and the definition of Fude Poem. Chapter2is mainly focused on the research and the classification of ZhangHu’s Fude Poems. In this chapter, I will put ZhangHu’s poems into different categories according to the definition of Fude Poem. In accordance of the time of his creation and his path of life, ZhangHu’s Fude Poems can be ranged into frontier fortress Fude Poem, musical Fude Poem, scenic Fude Poem, Fude Poem of temples and chanting Fude Poem. In Chapter3,I will give a brief introduction of the influence to ZhangHu’s Fude Poem creation from the cultural development of Tang Dynasty which is the objective influence of his poem creation. I will discourse the influence from these two aspects: the prosperity of Buddhism and the flourish of the culture of music. Chapter4is mainly about the origin and the inheritance of ZhangHu’s Fude Poem. First, I will introduce what ZhangHu had inherited from the predecessors’creation and ZhangHu’s ideas of poem creation which are the subjective influence of ZhangHu’s poem creation. At last, I will introduce the popularity of ZhangHu’s Fude Poems in Tang and Song Dynasty. Through the research of this essay, we can conclude that ZhangHu’s creation of Fude Poems can be found in various kinds of topics such as frontier fortress, dance and music, landscape, temples, and chanting. ZhangHu’s Fude Poems not only absorb the vigorous spirit of Jian-an and the poetic style of Tang, but also borrow ideas from his contemporaries’styles of poem creation. Besides, his Fude Poem creation was led by his own ideas of creation and influenced deeply by the multicultural development in Tang Dynasty. The Fude Poems created under this influence were different in spreading and accepting in different period of ages later on.
