The paper tries to analyze the mutual influence between Ji Kang andLaoZhuang(老庄)through a comprehensive and detailed investigation on thequotation of Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi by Ji Kang.Firstly we show Ji Kang′s quotation of Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi comprehensivelyby giving a form. This form is arranged in the appendix because of its length. The paper′s investigation mainly established on the Works of Ji Kang which wasnoted by Dai Yangming. So the first chapter has a differentiation on Ji Kang′squotation of Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi in the Works of Ji Kang noted by Dai. Firstly, weconclude Dai′style of note on Ji Kang′s quotation from Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi,including adding, differentiation, roughly examples, extract examples, title notes andquotation note. Then we differentiate the different words by investigating the twobooks. Finally, we add some notes through carefully reading of Works of Ji Kang. The second chapter finds Ji Kang′s three kinds of quotation from Lao Zi andZhuang Zi formally by detailed analysis of some Ji Kang′s key works. The first kindis the words quotation from Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi, including adjectives and ideawords. The second kind is the speech quotation from Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi, includingdirective quotation and paraphrase. The last kind is the allusion quotation from Lao Ziand Zhuang Zi, and Ji Kang expressed his feeling, ambition and comments by thesequotations. Also we can find the diversity and flexibility of quotation from Lao Zi andZhuang Zi by Ji Kang. He inherited the incredible understanding about humanity, politics and history of Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi, and by adopting it concentrated to theregimen, he formed his own theory of regimen which was cored by the thought ofLaoZhuangThe third chapter has a macro inspection on Ji Kang′s quotation of Lao Zi andZhuang Zi. We discuss the problem in two aspects: the one is the critical comments onthe Confucian influenced on Ji Kang which he got from Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi; theother is the proud attitude to the secular society in Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi whichinfluenced him. No matter what it critics, the core ideas or the sense of shengrenshengjun(圣人圣君), Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi contains rich critical comments on theConfucian. So Ji Kang′s thought was not innovate, it was the further development ofthe thought of Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi. But the tone of their comments was not thesame. The attitude of Lao Zi was lower, and Zhuang Zi was higher. Ji Kang absorbedthe incredible understanding and independent personality of Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi,and adopted the highly proud attitude of Zhuang Zi because of his own character.
