Lawrence and Wang Xiaobo were controversial because of their Sex Writing in their works. Lonely as they were during their lifetime, they were glorious but controversial after they died. Similar performance of the theme, similar life experiences and literary fate, deep thinking about gender relationship, profound ideas and implications expressed in their Sex Writing, and the picturesque aesthetic traits embodied in their Sex Writing allow us to make a comparison between these two writers. In their description of sex, they often integrated it with the capture of nature so as to reveal that sex was as beautiful and natural as nature. In so doing, Lawrence intended to spread his idea of bloody consciousness while Wang aimed to promote the justifications for sex and the pursuit of freedom. These two writers have something in common in that a sense of body worship is implied in their works. What is more noteworthy is their attention to abnormal sex, like homosexual love.Behind their Sex Writing is that Lawrence thought sex and beauty were just like fire and flame, while Wang thought sex was mother of beauty. As for the understanding of why sex was beautv, Lawrence emphasized harmony while Wang focused on freedom and fun. They are both equipped with insight into the issue of harmony between male and female. They both blamed the stained relationship between different sexes on imperial wars, industrial civilization, polarization of power and philistinism and sought to find solutions to the problem and regain the harmony and freedom of body and soul. Due to their different historical, cultural, and social backgrounds, it can be found that they are different in thinking and writing style, which helps us to gain a more comprehensive and profound understanding of both. As for the aesthetic implications in their sex description, their languages are both filled with strong emotions, full of rhyme and image, leaving am impression of pictures on the reader. There is no doubt that their sex writings can serve as instructions and inspirations for those "body writing" or "private part writing" flooding the current literary circle.
