A Comparative Study Of Sense Of Loneliness With Shen Cogwen And Kawaabata Yasunari Works

Since the birth of human, loneliness exist in people’s subjective world inevitably,and even have been applied to the objective material world by people.As a subjectivepsychological experience of people, loneliness is often writed in literary works by writers,in order to cause people ’s emotional response or stimulate people to think some socialfactors deeply.With the development of material civilization, people’s material needsgradually have been met, then they start to concern spiritual needs, and as the spiritualdesires are not met, it will produce a lot of adverse psychological experience, theloneliness is more prominent.Loneliness is not created out of thin air, its creation has aclose relationship with the people, and community.Therefore, our interpretations of thesense of loneliness of literary works are bound to explore deep things after lonely surface,and we need study the real difficulties of human existence and social development, so ourthinking on the loneliness of literature has high literary value and social significance.This paper takes Shen Congwen and Kawabata Yasunari for example using aparallel study method, and it compares the sense of loneliness of texts of the two writersbasing on the texts of the two writers, and then discusses the differences of the sense ofloneliness of works and the similarities and differences of formation causes. Thesesimilarities and differences is not just simply to master the texts, it proceeds from theauthor’s personal experience and then studies deep-seated ideological connotation so asto demonstrate their common concern on the human existence as two writers ofhumanitarian spirit and their national cultural characteristics.Past writers on comparativestudying of Shen Congwen and Kawabata Yasunari mostly focused on the form of art, inthe introduction of this article,the writer has made a simple induction of the presentresearch status of the two writers.In order to compare the sense of loneliness of the two writers’works,firstly we needmake a clear explanation of the sense of loneliness.The first chapter of this paper hasmade a define of the sense of loneliness, and has summarized the sense of loneliness inShen Congwen and Kawabata Yasunari’s works so as to make a foundation of furthercomparative studies of these two writers’ works. The second chapter, the writer starts tocompare from four aspects including the social criticism of loneliness, poetic refraction of lonely hearts, alliance of loneliness and other life forms and trying to far from ofloneliness,making a comparative study on the basis of the two writers’ works, andmaking the sense of loneliness more particular, and then explore their similarities anddifferences. The third chapter, the author makes a study of the formation causes about thesimilarities and differences.basing on the previous research on the Shen Congwen andKawabata Yasunari’s works, mainly from the writer’s personal experience, the writervalues and culture these three aspects to consider,adopting gradually in-depth researchmethod. The reason analysis on the similarities and differences is a more complexproblem, and also a processes of works returning to life, backing to society, thecomplexity of life and the richness of cultural determines it is a far-reaching Road aboutstudying the reasons of similarities and differences of loneliness in texts. The road of lifeis endless, the road of literature is endless,and the road of studying is endless.
