The social transformation of human society as a whole process of change includes alllevels of the political, economic, cultural, moral, and other changes. In those aspects,morality, as the superstructure,also attractes more and more attentions along with ourcountry moral transition in moral issues become more prominent.This paper is divided into five parts. The introduction describes the origin,background, significance, the related research at home and abroad, the theoreticalframework, content, methods of the topic, and thus forms the overall grasp on this topic.The first chapter which sets out from the social transition and the moral cost of this twocategory elaborates the connotation, the types, the characteristics of social transformationand moral cost so as to provide basic theory support for our study this topic. The secondchapter elaborates the difficult transition of the moral under the background of socialtransformation since the modern times of China, and analyses overall situation of theethical transformation and elaborates the difficult process to establish modern moral by thetraditional moral critique and reflection, which lays the foundation for the rest of the moralcost present situation and the reason analysis. The third chapter, which sets out from thesocial reality, emphasizes the present situation of Chinese social transformation moral costproblems, and analyses the cause of these moral cost problem from the historical,economic, institutional and legal laws and regulations, ideology and culture, educationfive respects. The fourth chapter studies the moral cost problem by the transverse andlongitudinal comparatively, and provides new thinking for improving our country ’s moralenvironment from the people’s ideas and specific strategy separately.In this paper, the innovation lies in the moral cost of studying, which makes ethicalissues in research rise to the level of philosophy, but also makes the research not separatefrom the history and reality to China since the reform and opening up in the background ofsocial transformation, which makes the study more deep and dialectical.
